We are looking for a highly motivated and dedicated Chef Supervisor to join our wider Commercial and Catering Team at the University of Northampton.

The Chef Supervisor will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef, working within a multiple of outlets on our fantastic Waterside Campus.

This post would predominantly be Monday to Friday, but will include occasional weekends, bank holidays & events, with shifts varying from 7am to 10pm.

Our customers and students are at the heart of everything we do. You will need to ensure that this is paramount to everything you do.

Duties will include;

  • Supervising and delivering in the food preparation process
  • Cooking and preparing elements of high-quality dishes
  • Preparing vegetables, meats and fish
  • Supervising other chefs
  • Taking responsibility for placing orders and receiving deliveries
  • Ensuring stock rotation, cleaning tasks are completed
  • Contributing to maintaining kitchen and food safety standards
  • Working with the Head Chef to develop menus and rotas taking into account the needs of the business
  • Ensuring all legal paperwork is completed and filed, including COSHH, HACCP & Allery Information

Qualifications

Essential;

  • NVQ level 2
  • Food Safety level 2
