About the Job

You will be leading the team which has primary responsibility for ensuring the University’s compliance with the requirements of its Home Office / UKVI Sponsor Licence. You will work with colleagues in the team and across the University to ensure that the University can demonstrate compliance, is proactively monitoring all metrics and processes which contribute to compliance, and that colleagues across the University understand how their roles contribute to compliance. 

You will be part of the Academic Registry management team and will have the opportunity to develop productive and collaborative working relationships with colleagues leading teams and services which are related to the work of the Immigration Compliance Service.

We understand this may vary between different areas of the university as well as from one person to another. About You

You will have experience and knowledge of Home Office/UKVI requirements and how they apply to Universities. You will be able to describe and model an inclusive leadership style in this area, and be committed to collaborative working. You will have communication skills and be able to engage colleagues across the institution with the University’s compliance responsibilities and how all colleagues can contribute to them.

Department

The Immigration Compliance Service is a busy and vital team at the heart of the University’s student support and administrative infrastructure. We work alongside colleagues in Faculties, Student Support, Admissions, and Student Records, to provide coherent and efficient services which support students, provide effective reporting, and maintain the University’s compliance with the conditions of its sponsor licence. The team plays a vital position in maintaining the University as an attractive destination for international students.
