About the Job

Duration: 12-Month Fixed Term Contract

You will be working as part of a team which supports both students and the University to make sure that all requirements relating to international students, and to the University’s Sponsor Licence, are monitored and met. As an Immigration Compliance Officer (Home Office Reporting) you will be developing processes, making reports to the Home Office, monitoring data, and helping the team to be ready, at all times, for a potential Home Office inspection. 

You will have the chance to contribute to process improvements and to work as a team in support of international students and the University as a whole.

About You

You will be a skilled communicator with attention to detail. You will be able to understand complex regulations and information and apply them to your work. You will have some prior knowledge and experience of immigration advice and the Home Office’s rules relating to international students. You will be an effective team player who can present complex information to a wide range of colleagues.

  • Postgraduate qualification in a subject relevant to Higher Education 

Department

The Immigration Compliance Service is a busy and vital team at the heart of the University’s student support and administrative infrastructure. We work alongside colleagues in Faculties, Student Support, Admissions, and Student Records, to provide coherent and efficient services which support students, provide effective reporting, and maintain the University’s compliance with the conditions of its sponsor licence.

The team plays a vital role in maintaining the University as an attractive destination for international students.
