The OVC Office Manager & Executive Assistant provides high-level operational leadership and management for the administrative functions of the Vice Chancellor’s Office, while delivering professional executive support to members of the University Executive Group. The post holder will manage a small team of EAs and administrative staff, lead operational efficiency improvements, and introduce new technologies to streamline practices. They will support key strategic projects, manage executive meetings and governance activities, and oversee the budget and resources for the Office. Responsibilities include proactive diary management, preparation of briefing documents, coordination of high-profile events, recruitment support for senior staff, and acting as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. This permanent, full-time position requires occasional work outside of standard hours and supports Smarter Working arrangements.

About You
You will have significant experience working in a senior administrative or office management position within a large, complex organisation, with a proven track record in project management and introducing new systems. Excellent leadership and team management skills are essential, alongside excellent organisational abilities, advanced IT skills, and outstanding written and verbal communication. You will be proactive, resilient, highly adaptable, and able to handle confidential information with discretion. A commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and working in line with the University's values of inclusivity, trust, sustainability, and aspiration is key.
