Marketing Officers within Schools and Colleges Liaison work to inspire and encourage potential applicants that UON is the institution for them. Expertise in our products and services, as well as accurate and comprehensive knowledge of HE overall, including the application process and student finance, is delivered through a range of on and off campus activity including:

Talks and sessions to a variety of audiences in schools and colleges

Organisation, planning and delivery of on campus events such as Taster Days and subject roadshows

UK wide exhibition presence

Creation of e-communications to a variety of audiences

Collaboration with other Marketing teams such as Brand and social media
This post will have a focus on recruitment activity and events in London and surrounding areas, also supporting events in other parts of the country at peak times. The post holder would be required to adopt hybrid working – at peak times recruitment activity in schools and colleges and exhibition attendance will be daily, with necessary admin in addition to this. They will also be willing to work on campus in Northampton as required to support team events, University wide Open Days and team meetings, as well as working from home as appropriate based on activity.

About You
Schools Liaison Officers must have project management, independent working, and communication skills. The ability to quickly form a rapport with both potential applicants and teachers and advisors is essential.
Experience in customer service posts is advantageous as well as the ability and willingness to:

Work flexibly, often attending recruitment events at varied hours, including some overnight stays, evenings and early mornings

Travel across the country for events, with a focus on London and surrounding areas
The post holder will be required to quickly familiarise themselves with our courses, services and messaging, as well as an ability to work in a varied and fast-paced environment.
The post holder will be required to participate in Open Days, Welcome Weekend and other key University events outside the working week.
Qualifications
Essential
- Degree (or equivalent) in business / marketing / event management / customer service and / or relevant demonstrable work experience
Desirable
- Professional qualification through CAM/CIM or related professional body

A Marketing Officer specialising in Schools and Colleges Liaison is responsible for the promotion of the University and its courses in order to recruit students from the UK. We use market research to develop creative strategies that explain how we can help our students achieve their goals. We act as trusted advisors across the institution on all matters relating to marketing and promotion.
