The University of Northampton Enterprises Ltd is looking to recruit a Permit to Work Officer. They will effectively manage the Permit to Work process to ensure contractors adhere to heath & safety standards and deliver optimum levels of service. The Permit to Work Officer will complete all pre-visit assessments, welcome and induct contractors on to site, monitor their performance during attendance, and sign off all activity prior to their departure.
About you
The successful candidate will have;
- Demonstrable experience of administering Permit to Work systems either manually or digitally
- Experience of managing a range of contractors
- Knowledge of CAFM systems
- Experience of working in a multi-site environment
- The ability to work with minimal supervision and on own initiative
- Integrity and professionalism, demonstrating a commitment to ethical standards, confidentiality, and the University’s values of inclusivity, trust, sustainability and aspiration
Qualifications
Essential;
- Electrical/Mechanical qualification to a minimum NVQ Level 3/time served equivalent
- IOSH Managing Safely qualification or equivalent
Desirable;
- L8 Management qualification
