We are seeking a Senior Admissions Officer (Partnerships & DL) to provide expert guidance on admissions matters and lead a high-performing team delivering a responsive, applicant-centred service. This post is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of admissions processes for our partnership and distance learning provision, maintaining compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
The Senior Admissions Officer serves as a subject matter expert in admissions, leading a high-performing team, advising senior management, streamlining course-specific processes, fostering cross-departmental collaboration, and representing Admissions in strategic initiatives to ensure compliance, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Admissions staff contribute to university-wide events such as Open Days, Confirmation, Clearing and Enrolments, and the postholder will be expected to undertake occasional evening and weekend work at specific times of the year particularly in August and September (where holiday restrictions apply).

About You
You must possess extensive experience working with student record systems, ideally as an advanced user, alongside a proven track record of coordinating and supervising teams, managing administrative functions, and delivering high-quality customer service to diverse stakeholders. The post demands expertise in developing and refining operational procedures, assuring data integrity, and navigating complex workloads under pressure. Candidates should demonstrate excellent IT proficiency, particularly with databases and Microsoft Office, as well as exceptional problem-solving abilities and a creative approach to administrative challenges. Knowledge and experience of UK and international qualifications and frameworks is essential. Outstanding communication, planning, and interpersonal skills are required to build effective relationships and contribute to strategic initiatives. The ability to adapt to technological and organisational change, uphold ethical standards, and embody the university’s values of inclusivity, trust, sustainability, and aspiration is fundamental to success in this post.
