The Senior Immigration Compliance Officer (Engagement Monitoring) will support the university’s recruitment activities by providing immigration advice and complete immigration compliance tasks for international applicants and students. The post holder will also be required to lead on collating and analysing attendance data and the day-to-day management of the University’s engagement monitoring activities for Student Route Visa students enrolled by the University of Northampton.

About You 

The successful candidate will have excellent organisational and communication skills, with a demonstrable customer service focus and excellent attention to detail. You will have a deep understanding of the UK’s Immigration Rules and all Home Office Guidance pertaining to the Student Route Visa route and will have experience of providing high quality advice to international students on a broad range of complex immigration and compliance matters.

A detailed understanding of Home Office Engagement Monitoring requirements and attendance monitoring systems and processes is also a key requirement for this post.

You will have a high level of proficiency in using the Microsoft Office suite of software and the Home Office Sponsor Management System. You should be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, with the skills to develop productive working relationships across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications 

Essential;

  • Qualified to degree level or equivalent relevant experience.

Desirable;

  • Postgraduate qualification in a subject relevant to Higher Education.

Faculty/Department 

The Immigration Compliance Services Team sits within the department of Global Engagement. We are responsible for ensuring that the University complies with all its duties as a Student Route Visa Sponsor by providing advice and support to international students on immigration and other related international student issues to ensure that the department of Global Engagement delivers an excellent international student experience for all its international applicants and students.
