The University of Northampton is looking for a Student Events Officer to work within Estates and Campus Services.  This post will coordinate and deliver a range of high-engagement, diverse, vibrant events and activities aimed at University of Northampton students. The post holder will be responsible for effectively communicating events and activities to students and will need to ensure that all events are relevant, appropriate, and responsive to the University of Northampton's ever-changing student demographic.

The post holder will take the lead on designing and implementing events and activities as well as working with community groups to ensure that students are given access to participate in events and activities both on and off campus ensuring that a sense of community and belonging is implemented.

We are an accredited Living Wage Foundation Employer and currently pay the real living wage, which is currently £24,309 per annum. In recognition of this, the starting salary for this post has been increased to pay this higher amount which currently supersedes the actual Grade 4 salary before living wage.

About you

The post holder should have;

  • Experience of planning and running events
  • Working with multiple stakeholders
  • Using social media for marketing and promotion
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  •  Educated to degree level or equivalent qualification in events management or project management or relevant experience

Department

This position is in the Estates and Campus Services department within the Conference and Events Team. Whilst the main roles and responsibility of the position will be centred on student focused events however it will form part of the wider Conference and Events and will support with commercial and internal staff and student events as well as support for the whole Estates and Campus Service Team.
